iphoto album missing

hi there! I am using a mac and iPhoto for my pictures. I seem to be missing/ or cannot find a Folder. I search for it and look for it on the left column of all albums, but it is not there and does not come up. However, when I select a new photo and go to save it to an album, it does give me that album as an option to save to. But I can't find it or access the photos elsewhere!
